Beauty from ashes

What?

Sisterhood is an art mentorship program which serves the girls and women of Capricorn. We use art as a powerful tool to allow girls and women to connect with themselves, with each other and with God.

How?

Sisterhood runs as an after school programme from a shipping container in the heart of Capricorn. Different age groups of girls meet 3 afternoons a week for art inspiration and personal input with Sydney and her team. Sisterhood moms meets one morning a week, to uplift and engage with moms in the community, many who are struggling with substance abuse and associated issues of poverty.

Why?

God is creating beauty from ashes and restoring lives right before our eyes. Our hope is that through Sisterhood and sisterhood moms the intrinsic beauty and power God placed inside these women will be unveiled, giving them hope and courage to step into their crucial role in bringing transformation in their own lives, their families and their community.
